The Honey Plan:

1. The treatment involves injecting low doses of Botox or Dysport right below the skin with very small needles. (The needles are the size of just 3 pieces of hair!)

2. Temporary injection site redness and swelling is common and usually goes away within the 15 minutes.

3. Results start to kick in within 3–5 days and fully onset around 3 weeks.

4. You’ll still look like yourself, just the best version!

PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Avoiding Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, Motrin, Vitamin E, fish oil, St. John's Wort, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products 14 days prior to treatment will help decrease your chance of bruising.
• Avoid alcohol 24 hours before your treatment to reduce the chances of bruising.
• Schedule your injections appt at least 1 month prior to a special event, such as a wedding or vacation. To allow yourself time for a follow-up 2 weeks prior. Bruising may be apparent in that period of time.
• You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Do NOT massage/rub the treated areas for 24 hours
• Do NOT perform strenuous activities (heavy lifting, cardio, yoga, etc.) for 24 hours.
• Do NOT lie down or bend over with your head down within 3 hours to avoid product migration.
• No facials, massages, exfoliating, or using any Clarisonic devices for at least 10 days following injections.
• Avoid tanning beds, steam rooms, and saunas for 24 hours.
• Please wait until the day after treatment before wearing hats or headbands.
• If there is bruising at the injection site, apply ice.
• Reassess the treated areas at the 3-week mark, if you have remaining or asymmetrical movement please call the office to schedule a follow-up visit. We will adjust your dose for next time to ensure the results are perfect!
What is the downtime? Can I go back to work after my treatment?: Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave our office.
When will I see results?: In general, the effects of Botox and Dysport begin to appear in one to three days, peak in one to four weeks, and gradually decline after three to four months.
How long do results last?: Typically, you can expect results to last 3–4 months. But it varies per person!
What if I don’t get Botox or Dysport every 3 months?: If you choose to not continue Botox or Dysport injections, without treatment, your muscles will continue to contract and potentially result in lines as before you started treatment. We will help you come up with a plan that best works for you!
Does it hurt?: The needle is extremely small so it feels like nothing more than a pin prick. Other than the injection itself, the procedure is painless.
Will my face look undone or unnatural?: At Honey, our approach is to help you age gracefully. When injected in the correct amounts by the right medical provider, Botox and Dysport injections can result in a subtle appearance that only you will notice. But beware, everyone might comment on your improved appearance, they just might not be able to pinpoint the cause.
What’s the difference between Botox and Dysport?: Botox and Dysport are both purified proteins that effectively block muscle contraction, although each has slight differences in their molecular makeup. Botox and Dysport accomplish the same goal, so it’s really just a matter of what you prefer. Your Honey provider can help determine the best option for you.
I’m pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I be treated with Botox and Dysport?: Botox and Dysport injections should not be used in pregnancy or when breastfeeding.
